Is Torey Krug headed out of Boston?
It looks as though the Boston Bruins are caught in the crosshairs, once again. The Torey Krug contract situation looks like 1972. That was the year the World Hockey Association raided the NHL for players for their new league.
The Bruins were hit the hardest, losing flashy center, Derek Sanderson, goaltender, Gerry Cheevers and right wing, Johnny “Pie” McKenzie. They were an easy target for the WHA. The Bruins, under the watchful eye of General Manager Harry Sinden, were notoriously cheap. This was in the days of no salary cap.
The Bruins were not the only team to lose a star player to the WHA. Superstar left winger, Bobby Hull received $3 million from the Winnipeg Jets to leave the Chicago Black Hawks. That is roughly the same amount that the KHL is offering defenseman, Torey Krug.
The decision should be an easy one for Krug. The Bruins are limited to paying Krug around 1 to 2 million dollars for the 2014-2015 season. My suggestion would be to take the guaranteed money from the KHL. He can always come back to the NHL. It certainly won’t be with the Bruins.

Robin Williams: A tribute to one of the greatest
Robin Williams will always be considered one of the greatest comedic talents of all time. He will be missed. Here is a clip of him describing how truly ridiculous the game of golf is. RIP Robin (July 1951-August 2014).
